One of Bolesław Leśmian’s “sesame tales,” The Beautiful Parysada and the Bird Bulbulezar has delighted generations with the beauty of its original language and the poetic aura of its storytelling. The author, inspired by Arabian fairy tales, decided to retell them in his own unique style: “Far, far away, beyond the mountain, beyond the river, beyond the green forest, beyond the blue lake, near a crossroads, next to a brook, there once was a palace…”

Zuza i jej brat, mimo różnic i przeciwności, tworzą niezwykły duet – ona jest dziewczyną pełną determinacji i siły, on – chłopak z niepełnosprawnością intelektualną – jest nastolatkiem patrzącym na świat z wyjątkową wrażliwością. Zrządzeniem losu trafiają do domu sąsiadki – starszej kobiety, która swoją mądrością i ciepłem stanie się dla nich przewodniczką w trudnych chwilach.
Spektakl ukazuje, jak ważne jest wsparcie, zarówno między rodzeństwem, jak i w relacjach międzypokoleniowych. Młodzi bohaterowie odbywają nietypową podróż, która pozwoli im odkryć, co tak naprawdę oznacza dom i poczucie bezpieczeństwa. To historia o zaufaniu, odpowiedzialności ale także o talencie, który daje niezwykłą moc do działania.
Spektakl reżyseruje Pamela Leończyk, jedna z najciekawszych reżyserek młodego pokolenia. Oprawę muzyczną stworzyła Magdalena Sowul, kompozytorka, wokalistka i multiinstrumentalistka znana także pod scenicznym pseudonimem PaniLas.
Spektakl powstaje w koprodukcji z Teatrem 21 (Centrum Sztuki Włączającej/Teatr 21 to Społeczna Instytucja Kultury, której działanie jest współfinansowane przez Miasto Stołeczne Warszawa).
